Andrew Weeks
Andrew was admitted to practice in April 2005 and has worked exclusively in insurance litigation since.
During this time, he has managed all facets of insurance claims, including coverage disputes, defending product & public
liability claims and professional indemnity matters.
Andrew also has extensive experience in bodily injury matters and recovery claims by compensation insurers,
as well as property damage claims with respect to a range of commercial and domestic constructions.
Andrew also specialises in religious, education and community law. He regularly advises sporting clubs and
schools on a range of legal issues such as public liability, discrimination, bullying and property damage.
Andrew's clients include national, multinational and international insurers. He is a member of AILA and LIV.

Examples of cases Andrew has been involved in include policy disputes, catastrophic injury claims, workers'
compensation claims, high volume "slip and trip" cases, "security" cases involving incidents
on licensed premises and general liability cases relating to a variety of issues such as shopping centre claims, owners corporation
claims, horticulture and tree pruning, motor circuit operators, golf courses, elevators, sports and schools, stock feed and the like.
Andrew has also been involved in various construction cases involving drainage, pavements and domestic and
commercial premises. Andrew also acted for Translink Operations in the Burnley Tunnel coronial investigation.
Andrew regularly advises community and educational facilities on a variety of matters such as employment issues and
public liability.
Andrew was recognised as a leading / recommended public and product liability lawyer in the 2017, 2018, 2019 and 2020
editions of Doyle's Guide. More recently in 2023, Andrew was recognised as a preeminent public and product liability lawyer and
a recommended professional indemnity lawyer in Doyle's Guide.
