Craig has been a specialist insurance law practitioner since 1983 including practising in London in the professional indemnity area in the late 1980s.
He provides a broad range of legal services to Australian and overseas based insurers and syndicates.
Craig regularly advises on professional indemnity liability, corporate matters and complex property matters including listed buildings.
Craig is a member of the Australian Professional Indemnity Group, ANZIFF, AILA and LIV.
Craig has been recognised in Doyle's Guide to Lawyers as a leading practitioner in Professional Indemnity & Public Liability.

Professional Indemnity & Directors & Officers
Craig provides services in the Professional Liability and Directors & Officers sphere to local and London insurers. Examples of recent matters include:
- Representing engineers in connection with a major pedestrian traffic bridge between Melbourne and the MCG.
- Representing an environmental expert in connection with advice given as to site contamination under the West Gate Bridge [claim approximately $100M].
- Policy advice to insurers in connection with the Westpoint Financial collapse.
- Craig regularly visits the London insurance market to advise on legal developments in Australia and conducts file reviews.
- A claim against an Investment Advisor arranging investments in Asia on behalf of US clients with the investments demonstrated in AU$ and the clients suffering loss by reason of a gap in currency hedging arrangements.
- A claim involving a Financial Advice and Investment Services company. The claimants had a large self-managed superannuation fund.

[e.g. major class action arising out of the "Black Saturday" Beechworth bush fires].

- Refurbishment of a Public Hospital in the eastern suburbs of Melbourne.
- Construction of a holding dam for a major Australian mining company.
- Construction of a major tourist attraction in the Docklands precinct.
Recoveries
Craig provides extensive advice on recovery prospects on ISR/Property policies and acts in the recovery actions taken. The most recent example involved a multi-million dollar fire damage
claim at a furniture warehouse in the outer south eastern suburbs of Melbourne.
